In his time at Saint Mary's, Sanderl taught in the Collegiate Seminar Program, helped lead the Mission and Ministry Center when it first started, and served a resident director. Sanderl said, "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a resident director, both in Aquinas and in Ageno C. I worked with wonderful resident directors and advisors, and was glad that my time at the College included the outreach to students that is unique to living in our residence halls."
He also wanted to thank Carole Swain, the vice president for Mission and Ministry. "[She] was an incredible mentor and great partner in mission throughout my time at the College," Sanderl added. During the interim period, Swain will lead the Center.
Sanderl also elaborated on how much he appreciates the faculty with whom he worked with at the College. He said, "My five years were full and with many others on campus, I can look back and recognize some amazing growth and progress that occurred. Most importantly, these directly benefited our students and the College's Catholic Lasallian Mission." He reminisces about the "arcade experiences," the "interactions and conversations that capture the spirit of community and conversation at Saint Mary's," he remarks. Sanderl looks forward to furthering his career and exploring new opportunities for himself beyond Saint Mary's.
On Tuesday, May 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Claeys Lounge, Saint Mary's will be honoring Sanderl for his dedication to Saint Mary's and to wish him well for the future.
