Rising musician, a Los Angeles local, Marie Digby, has created music videos for her audience on YouTube since 2006. She released her first CD titled "Unfold" on April 2008.

Digby, a half Japanesse and half Irish musician, used her talent successfully to cover songs written by Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Nelly Furtado and even Britney Spears. Her cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella," viewed more than 8 million times on YouTube, is the theme song for the MTV show "The Hills" and has been played regularly on major radio stations across California.

Her career "unfolded" when she began writing and playing guitar and piano in high school. After a year at Cal Berkeley, she decided to drop out of college and pursue her dream of being a musician. Performing through YouTube for first two years on the web, she has received over 22 million views on her videos. Hollywood Records signed her up in 2006.

Digby began her first national tour in May 2008 with Eric Hutchinson and Justin Nozuka, two other rising artists. Marie also toured through July with Gavin DeGraw. Next, she plans on heading overseas to perform in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Digby had a plentiful amount of fans and supporters at one of her Los Angeles concert locations this past summer. Crowding the floor, they would pull out their cell phones and digital cameras to record her spot on stage and began to sing with her highly acclaimed cover "Umbrella." As Digby performed her songs, the crowd began waving their arms up to her music. Digby gave her deepest appreciation to her home town and when the show ended, as people left for the parking lot continued to sing "ella ella eh eh eh eh eh eh".

"Unfold," includes an original song, "Stupid For You," which shows her creative song writing skills. As talented as any other artists in the music industry she should have a long and successful career. Digby's debut album is a spark for other rising artists starting from the ground up. With Digby's beautiful voice and amazing lyrics, I definitely listened to her CD repeatedly and I highly recommend it.
